I am passionately devoted to promoting each child’s experience of being loved, valued and competent. I believe that this forms the foundation for satisfying and fulfilling relationships and work experiences. I enjoy helping parents to become the nurturing, attuned, and confident parents they want to be.
Karen Dudley received her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, and her M.A. in Human Development form Pacific Oaks College. While at Pacific Oaks, Karen interned in the Julia Ann Singer Therapuetic Preschool, which was part of the Cedars-Sinai Thalians Community Mental Health Center. Since 1991 Karen has been on the staff of the UCLA Family Development Project under the direction of Christoph Heinicke PhD, who is a protégée of John Bowlby. She spent a year participating in Alan Schore’s study groups; and two years teaching Infant Growth and Development at Santa Monica College.
