You are welcome to bring your children and toys will be provided, though parents are responsible for supervising their children. It is suggested that parents bring snacks for their children.

   Sibling Relationships                                                                    

Sibling relationships can be very challenging, and there are often many bumps in the road to a loving and supportive relationship. Learn about the various factors effecting sibling relationships and what parents can do to help their children be  lifelong friends. 

 Parent Support Group 
Parents of children all ages (infant through young adolescent) welcome. Please bring questions and experiences to share, or just come and listen to other parent's questions and comments. Bring any question/topic 
regarding your child, child development,  and/or parenting. 

 Building Positive Self Esteem & Emotional Intelligence         Learn how to help your child feel competence, confident and loved, the three foundation blocks for a positive self esteem. Also learn about the role that emotional intelligence plays in a child's self control, it's contribution to positive self esteem, and how parents can help children develop emotional intelligence. 

 Body Image and Child Safety

Learn about helping children feel strong and competent through positive body awareness, and how to promote child safety (sometimes called "stranger danger awareness"). Topics will also include: differences between child and adult sexuality, normal sexual curiosity and play in young children, how to talk with young childern about their bodies and other's bodies, and how to talk with young children about strangers.

Tuesday, January 27, 2015  NUTRITION AND EATING

 Picky eating, constant grazing, mealtime tantrums, overeating and refusing to eat are common mealtime struggles. We will discuss children’s nutritional needs, factors effecting children’s eating, and techniques and approaches for helping children develop healthy eating habits.

Tuesday, February 24, 2015 TOILET TRAINING

Help your child make the transition from diapers to the toilet in a process that you and your child can fill good about. We will talk about the underlying issues, signs of readiness and various strategies and techniques. Please come with lots of questions

(This seminar is for professionals interested in learning to facilitate or already 
facilitating parent-infant groups. The groups study infant development, 
parenting, and group dynamics. Please see under Professional Development for 
specific topics covered and suggested reading.)
